Hi guys, hope everybody is doing well having some fun with stitching, creating and more making~ It is perfect weather to knit and crochet outside in Seoul, Korea now. I’d love to take an advantage of these weather-perfect days outside but I have too many things in my hands that keep occupying me. How pity!
But, I finally find little time to taste a sip of this magnificent autumn today and I loved it! What I loved even more is... this gorgeous sweater I finished 3 autumns ago and never really tried on. I took her out for a little walk.
This is the one of the first sweaters I nervously gave it a try. I don’t know what made me feel this confident at that time. I never knit anything like this big before. Anyway, I challenged myself to finish this intimidating-looking sweater in one fall and I did it! And... I was happy and... put it ‘carefully’ in somewhere deep in my closet.
This buried treasure finally made a debut today and it was refreshingly awesome! The mohair/ wool blend was a bit hard to work at that time but boy, it was totally worth it! Can’t I be any happier than this with any of my old creations? It is super-soft, super-light, and super-warm. I don’t feel the weight of the sweater yet it is truly warm. Actually it is too hot to keep it in the middle of the day. It is gonna make a perfect chilly day sweater! I am so~ glad I tested it today. (BTW, I must admit the quality of yarns we use as knitters is very important, especially when we knit something wearable. In the long run the good yarn will do the better job. We should remember that.)
So, here’s what I want you to try. Do you think you have some projects like this? Finished while ago but never give it a go? Then, today is the day! Open your closet fully and dig here and there. I am sure you’d find something worth at least hundreds bucks: The true gorgeousness that were forgotten or abandoned. Take them out and let them enjoy day light. Take a walk with them and have fun while you are in it.
XO,
Soyun.
