How far did you go with your yarns? Have you finish your Holiday sweater?

Hello, stitchers! How are you doing? Busy with holiday knitting projects? Hopefully you're nicely busy and having some good time with your WIP projects.
As you guys know I've been pretty busy with some pullover knitting recently. Yes, cozy and quick pullovers, sweaters, tops are my cup of tea if you didn't know. I am a huge sucker for a big, wearable knit garments. Especially since there are so many wonderful patterns and delicious yarns are available I cannot possibly make excuses. I must keep going!
So, here's what I've finished this week. (BTW, did you know? I am finishing a pullover almost every other week nowadays. I am breaking my record now!) Actually the yarn did everything for me. I did what I do best: choosing a correct pattern. This is a straight-forward basic top down pullover. Nothing fancy, nothing tricky, the simplest sweater you could ever make while watching movies.
I am so satisfied with the result. It's a nicely light, airy, and elegant-looking piece. The little bubbles on yarns contribute to the extra coziness and style. I cannot stop touching and feeling this funky texture. I think this beauty makes a perfect outfit for coming festive season.
I know this is kind of an era that everybody is playing with some fancy colorways. I might do that some time soon, hopefully. But, if you're not quite in the loud color mood try playing with textures instead. It doesn't give such a dramatic makeovers yet, it gently transforms your plain garment to something pretty special and one-of-a-kind. Don't you think you deserve some sweater like that? I think you do! Since Holiday season is approaching you need something special to show off just like this. Keep stitching~
By the way, if you’re curious a about what pattern I was using, (FYI, I didn't use the pattern so closely. I use patterns as an inspiration most of the times.) this is the link you’re looking for. Beautiful pattern by Juliet Romeo Juliet called ‘simplest sweater’. You can download the free PDF pattern from Ravelry. If you ever ended up making one let me know. We should celebrate together! Again, I recommend this pattern very much, much, and much!

Hi Cyn,
I am so sorry that you have problem with wool. As a substitute of wool, I see lots of people use acrylic yarns.
But, here’s good news. This yarn I used for this pullover is not wool. It is made of cotton. I think any textured cotton would work for this pattern. Good luck!!
I’m allergic to wool – can you suggest an alternate yarn This pattern is gorgeous! Thank you so much!! ❤️
Hi there,
Thanks for the compliment~
The yarn is very lovely but it is retired while ago so I don’t think you can find exact yarn. However, I am pretty sure any textured yarn would work greatly. Check out the 1st. photo of this post and try to find something similar. You could end up with even more interesting result than what I got. Good luck and let me know how it goes~
Love the blog and ideas!
What yarn did you use for the “simplest sweater”? The texture is beautiful
